LISD Council of PTAs holds an annual Bowling for Scholars tournament in January.  Proceeds from the tournament are used for scholarships, teacher grants and PTA programs. Each year the Council awards two $500 scholarships to graduating seniors at each LISD high school. 

Trophies are awarded to the top teams, as well as prizes for the school with the most teams.  There are also door prizes and a prize for the best team name.
