• Local or Campus: 1) Each Individual School, 2) "Campus" means you, the local unit.  Here, we call you 'local units' or 'units'.  "Campus" is an attempt to say the same thing in non-PTA language.
   

• Council or District: 1) District Schools i.e. LISD, 2) "Council" means the 'local group' if you will, of PTAs and PTSAs.  LISD is so large that our Council is all the school PTAs in the district.  This is not the case in other Councils
   

• Area: 1) Determined Collection of "Councils" or Districts, 2) "Area" is a group of Councils.  The Area's dates and requirements are something Council Chairmen have to deal with - Council judging must be completed and the works going on need to be packed up and gotten to Area by their due date in January. Unfortunately, this date always manages to be before the Council Awards Reception.  From here advancing work goes to State, and then to National.

• National: 1) All 50 States or is it the 48 contiguous states... whatever!
